Privacy Policy

WatchSuite ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the WatchSuite iOS app and how it is handled.

1. Information We Collect

WatchSuite is designed with privacy as a priority. We collect minimal data:

• Location / ZIP code – Entered voluntarily by you in Settings. Stored locally on your device only; never transmitted to our servers.
• App preferences – Your selected watch feeds, dark-mode preference, and local radius. Stored only on your device using device storage (localStorage / UserDefaults).
• News article bookmarks – Saved articles are stored entirely on-device and never uploaded.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account credentials.
• We do not require account creation or user registration.
• We do not use advertising networks or share data with third-party advertisers.
• We do not use analytics SDKs that track personal behavior.

3. Network Requests

WatchSuite fetches publicly available news headlines from Google News RSS feeds via our backend hosted on Vercel. Requests include the topic or section you open. Our hosting providers also receive technical request information, such as your IP address and browser or app information, and may retain operational logs for security, reliability and troubleshooting. We do not use these logs for advertising profiles. Your ZIP code and saved-story list are not included in these requests.

4. Third-Party Services

News headlines are sourced from Google News RSS. The app requests its Newsreader and Outfit fonts from Google Fonts; these requests expose normal network information, including your IP address, to Google. See Google Fonts privacy information and Vercel’s privacy policy. Clicking a news link opens the publisher’s website in a browser view; those sites have their own privacy policies.

5. Children's Privacy

WatchSuite is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
